When you leave a comment on our blog
In the Commento box, when creating your comment profile, you will be asked for your:
- Real Name
- Website (Optional)
- Password
How the data is stored
The information pieces that we store are your name, your email, your comments, website URL (if any) and avatar (if you use Gravatar).
If you sign in using your Google account, your email and password are all handled by Google. We do not have any access, know of nor store any data relevant to it.
How the data is used
If you enable email notifications, you will receive an email informing you when a moderator or another reader replies to your comments. You can opt out of this any time you wish to.
Your text comments and avatars can be seen, up-voted and replied to by other members on the site. You can delete your comments if you need to.
Any comments that are not within our community guidelines may be subjected to deletion without any notice to you by our moderators. We will not edit your comments in any way.
